Couples or Relationship Counseling can be helpful at many times in the life of a couple for enrichment, problem solving , and personal and mutual growth. Couples Counseling is different from Individual Counseling in that Couples Counseling focuses on solutions that work for the entity of “the couple.”

Reasons couples come to me for counseling include:

+ Desire to experience a stronger connection with each other

+ Needing to heal from an event or crisis that has hurt the relationship

+ Adjusting to the addition or loss of a family member

+ Premarital counseling to prevent future problems

+ Recurring conflict or discord that threatens the future of the relationship

+ Deciding about the future of the relationship

+ Dealing with a difficult relationship in the extended family

In Couples Counseling you will find a safe, nonjudgemental space where together we can explore your relationship and where you can grow as a person and as a couple.

Separation, Divorce, Remarriage: Many couples going through separation or divorce find Couples Counseling helpful to navigate the many difficult emotional and practical changes they experience: separating out their lives, adjusting to single parenting or co-parenting, or finding their way through remarriage and the blending of families.

Deciding between Individual Counseling or Couples Counseling can be part of the Initial Consultation appointment.
